Richard Chase Senior Advisor
Born and raised on a farm near El Dorado, Richard Chase has based his long career in banking on one principle: making his community prosper. Richard is an original trustee member who helped found Butler County Community College. He is a past trustee of the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital and spent 11 years as a USD 375 school board member. And this only scratches the surface of the hard work, passion and talent he has given to El Dorado. In 1974, Richard helped charter Chisholm Trail State Bank and served on its board. In 1983, he assumed leadership of First National Bank, now Verus Bank. But despite his many achievements, Richard is one of the most down-to-earth, unassuming people you'll ever meet. If there's a job to be done, Richard doesn't pull rank -- he simply does it. When he's not pouring over financials at his desk, you might find him outside, with his sleeves rolled up, planting a tree or working with the construction crew on bank renovations. Just another day on the job for farm boy and banker Richard Chase.
